Emirates Steel, the only integrated steel plant in the UAE, a subsidiary of Senaat, joined today international steel companies and industry leaders, coming from around the world to participate at the 5th World DRI & Pellet Congress taking place in Dubai 26th and 27th April.
During the congress, Emirates Steel’s experts addressed the Challenges of DRI Industry in the Middle East including cost analysis of DRI vs Scrap, factors impacting the production cost and optimization measures taken in Emirates Steel’s plants. Moreover, the event included panel discussions focusing on different related topics such as the future of sustainable steel making, streamlining the DRI production process, procurement and burdening as well as availability and cost forecasts for DR grade pellets.
Moreover, participants exchanged views on issues such as optimizing DRI production, environmental sustainability and alternative revenue streams, carbon capture and sequestration, CO2 capture and I recycling, key strategies for exceptional plant productivity, availability and reliability and other subjects.
The 5th edition of the global conference offers a balance between commercial outlook and technical expositions for the booming DRI industry and brings together participants from around the world representing the entire DRI supply chain to discuss their vision of the steel market.
