Emsteel’s leadership in decarbonization and commitment to achieving net zero by 2050 was highlighted by Michael Rion, our Chief Commercial Officer, who participated in the Green Hydrogen Summit panel on ‘Steel Goes Green: Fast-Tracking to Net Zero’ at the World Future Energy Summit.

He underscored our decarbonization initiatives, including the launch of the first green hydrogen steel pilot project in MENA with Masdar, as well as our focus on clean energy utilization, scrap and recyclables utilization, and Carbon Capture. Additionally, he delved into Emirates Steel Arkan’s efforts of decoupling ironmaking from steelmaking processes to establish itself as the green hub for steel raw materials.
