Group Chief Project Officer – Emirates Steel Arkan (Emsteel)

Eng. Hassan Salim Shashaa is Group Chief Project Officer at Emsteel. He leads and manages all project activities within the group, ensuring successful execution.

Shashaa brings to his role a wealth of experience spanning 40 years in the heavy industry sector.

Over the last 13 years, Shashaa completed tenures at Emsteelas Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, beside his role with the executive committee. He also served as Chief Operating Officer held the positions of Senior Vice President of Strategy & Development, Sales and Marketing as well as Advisor to the CEO.

Prior to joining Emsteel, he worked with Bahrain-based Gulf Industrial Investment Company as Production Manager and later as General Manager, Sales and Marketing.

He holds a Master’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wales in the UK, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the American University of Beirut.
