Emirates Steel, the only integrated steel plant in the UAE, owned by SENAAT, participated for the 3rd consecutive year in the 20th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) 2017.
During the exhibition, Emirates Steel presented its unique steel product range of medium, heavy and jumbo sections used for construction purposes in sectors such as oil & gas offshore and onshore platforms, and other electrical transmission and petrochemical industries. Moreover, for the first time Emirates Steel showcases the unique sheet piles product.

Emirates Steel, currently the only producer of jumbo and heavy sections in the Middle East, has been witnessing significant growth in its attempts to build its product portfolio of Heavy Sections, this involved the construction and operation of Heavy and Jumbo Sections Rolling Mill at a cost of US$ 1.9 billion and resulted in an increase in the rolling capacity of the Company to nearly 3.5 million MTPA.
Growth drive continues with Emirates Steel being the only steel manufacturer in the Middle East to develop and sell the company’s new customized sheet piles, with the company’s first sheet pile brand being launched in December 2013: the z-shaped “ESZ18”. The Z piles 700 series was introduced in 2017 with two families ESZ 18-700 and ESZ 26-700, and with their present product range, the company is able to offer sheet piles in section modulus ranging from 1700 cm3/m- 2900cm3/m. HE Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, CEO of Emirates Steel said: “As we look ahead, we are confident in introducing a new family ESZ38-700 with section modulus ranging from 3600cm3/m – 4000 cm3/m. We are also looking forward to generating more businesses by providing conceptual design calculation, being close to our customers through project driven approach and providing assistances required in all related projects.”
The company’s product range also includes the value-added products which is stronger steel with higher tensile strengths and steels with special mechanical properties so that lesser quantity of steel is required by customers. Emirates Steel has evolved from its roots of being a simple and relatively low value-added processor of steel into a sophisticated, highly productive manufacturing business, with a high added value business model. Hence, the company is moving towards higher value-added products, including its Q-class (nuclear quality) steel, medium and high carbon wire rod, offshore grades in sections, and sheet piles.
Emirates Steel’s client portfolio includes some of the most known names within the oil and gas sector, excellence centers in the GCC, India, USA, national and international oil and gas companies, oilfield service providers, energy sector and related companies across the region.
