For the first time since its inception, Emirates Steel, the only integrated steel plant in the UAE, owned by SENAAT, participated in the 12th edition of Infra Tech trade fair; the biennial exhibition for infrastructure and ground construction held in Rotterdam in January 2017.
With the aim to boost its presence in Europe, Emirates Steel joined Meever and Meever; the official distributer of ESZ sheet piles for Europe region who is based in the Netherlands and is a well-known solution provider for foundation and marine construction works and has already, supplied significant tonnage of ESZ sheet piles into the European market.
Emirates Steel presented during the exhibition its unique steel product range of ESZ sheet piles, which are hot rolled long structural sections with vertical interlocking system that creates a continuous wall which is earth tight and water resistant and commonly used for the construction of retaining walls, bulkheads and seawalls. It is worth mentioning that Emirates Steel is the only manufacturer of hot rolled sheet piles in the Middle East and among few on the global level.
Emirates Steel sheet piles have already found their way to projects in the United Arab Emirates, Africa, Europe, Canada, USA, India, South East Asia. The company has recently reported deliveries of 51,730 t of sheet piles in 2016 compared to 15,360 t in 2015 achieving an increase of deliveries of around 236.8%.
