Group Chief Financial Officer – Emirates Steel Arkan (Emsteel)

Stephen J Pope is the Group Chief Financial Officer at Emsteel. He is responsible for managing the Group’s financial operations, including cash flow and financial planning, as well as analyzing the group’s financial performance and controlling all financing arrangements.

Pope brings to the role a wealth of experience spanning 37 years in the professional services and industrial sectors.

In addition to his responsibilities across various financing and support functions, he is a member of the EXCO group and all company-wide management committees including, sales pricing, procurement, operations planning, project management and disciplinary.

Prior to joining Emsteel, he was a partner at KPMG’s Abu Dhabi office. Pope previously worked with KPMG in both the United Kingdom and in Luxembourg.

He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds a Bachelor’s in Business Studies from the University of Bradford Management Centre in the United Kingdom.
